Shooting erupts at July 4 parade in Chicago suburb

Police are responding to a shooting at a Fourth of July parade in Highland Park, Ill., a suburb of Chicago. Illinois State Police referred to it as an “active shooter situation.” Shortly after 10 a.m. at the beginning of the parade, multiple shots were fired. At least six people are dead and two dozen wounded, police said.
