Protest After Bodies of Missing Surfers Found in Mexico

The bodies of three surfers, one from the US and two from Australia, who had been missing since April 27, were discovered in Ensenada, Mexico, according to the Baja California General Attorney’s Office.

Identified as Australian brothers Jake and Callum Robinson, along with their American friend Carter Rhoad, the victims were found with gunshot wounds to their heads, as stated by Maria Elena Andrade Ramirez, the attorney general of Baja California, during a press conference.

Andrade Ramirez said that the bodies were recovered from a well on Saturday, May 3, while their vehicle was found burned a few kilometers away. She said one suspect was in custody.

The families of the victims positively identified the bodies on May 5, according to Marina del Pilar, the Governor of Baja California.
