Want a Steak Sandwich? Arby’s Has That Meat, Too

Arby’s: Want meats? They have them. Too many of them, in fact. Sometimes, they put fries on top of the meats. Sometimes, the meat is duck. Sometimes, well, they take the meat and fashion it into a carrot. But for all of those different meat combinations and permutations, would you trust Arby’s to serve you a nice steak?

Well, we’re about to find out soon enough, because Arby’s is on the verge of taking two different Petite Filet Steak Sandwiches nationwide. Specifically, those are the Garlic Butter Steak Sandwich and the Steak & Bacon Melt Sandwich, both of which feature high-key thick cuts of some very nice looking filet. But these definitely aren’t the kind of thing you’d find on a traditional steakhouse menu.

From the look of it, the Steak & Bacon Melt Sandwich is exactly as wild and gratuitous as the meaty ingredients in its name suggest. In addition to that filet and the peppery bacon, you’ll also find crispy onions (for even more texture), a melted slice of cheddar cheese, and a steakhouse ranch sauce fit between two ciabatta buns. As I’ve said about many an Arby’s sandwich in the past, this thing has so much going on that you might need to schedule a nap after ordering this thing.

By comparison, the Garlic Butter Steak Sandwich almost seems downright wholesome. That’s mainly because it actually features vegetables in the form of lettuce and tomato. But just in case you were worried about this thing being too healthy, that petite filet is also paired with bacon (when in doubt, pile on bacon, I guess), as well as roasted garlic butter.

As with other over-the-top Arby’s sandwiches that you have to unhinge your jaw to eat, thee Petite Filet Steak Sandwiches will only be available at participating locations for a limited time. The meats… they will be had.
