Starbucks Is Giving Away BOGO Drinks Today
Thursday is a tricky day of the week. It's doesn't have the same flair as Hump Day and it's not quite Friday, so it's just...meh. Throw in the holidays, when you're totally wiped out and more strapped for cash than usual, and wading through Thursdays can be downright rough. Enter Starbucks.
The coffee chain announced that it plans to host a buy-one-get-one free deal on all handcrafted drinks every Thursday in December. And yup, today is included.
The deal is available on pretty much everything, as long as you buy a size grande or larger between 2 and 7 p.m. Again, there’s a lot up for grabs here. Maybe you want something festive, like a Chestnut Praline Latte or the new Irish Cream Cold Brew. Or maybe you just want an OG favorite, like a mocha. Whatever your go-to, you’ll get another drink free when you buy during the set time period. Just an FYI, it does exclude hot brewed coffee, hot brewed tea, ready-to-drink beverages, and Starbucks Reserve beverages.
Of course, Starbucks isn’t just going to toss an extra drink into your order. For starters, you need to make sure your local ‘Bucks is participating in the deal. And then you actually need to download the Starbucks app (if you don’t already have it) and keep an eye on your inbox to get a happy hour coupon. Only after you present said coupon can you get your free drink. It doesn't take a ton of effort on your part, but you need to do a little light lifting.
BTW: Starbucks doesn’t say that you actually have to share your free drink with a friend, so you could technically get a spare for the next day—or later on Thursday, depending on what kind of day you’re having.
