Post Malone Cleans Up In His Most Polished Look Yet

Usually, even if you remove Post Malone’s cherubic, scraggly bearded, frantically tattooed face from any of his outfits, you can still tell that it is a Malone-certified ensemble. The beer-swilling rapper’s looks have a uniquely boisterous yeehaw quality: think Nudie suits in every color of the rainbow, complete with floss-thin bolo ties. But last night, at the GQ Man of the Year Awards in Los Angeles—where the artist also performed—Malone threw his fans for a sartorial loop, stepping onto the red carpet in a no-frills Tom Ford blue three-piece suit. To drive the polished appeal of the look home, Malone opted for the accessory beloved by politicians and bankers alike: a crisp blue tie. (And black loafers!) Complete with a white cowboy hat, the industry’s goofiest crooner seemingly transformed himself overnight into a friendly Texan oil baron.

Of course, while Malone wore a spiffed-up suit, he still managed to give the outfit a grimier spin, however subtly—look closer and you’ll spot the blue, Minion-themed bandaid on his right pointer finger. In this case, call it Posty’s standout accessory.
