Paulina Porizkova, 56, Shares Stunning Lingerie Photo: “I’ve Never Liked the Way I Look More Than I Do Today”

Paulina Porizkova posted a photo to her Instagram posing in lingerie and declaring love for her body.
The 56-year-old posted a commercial for Laura Geller Beauty in honor of the brand's “Let’s Get Old Together” campaign.
The former supermodel has been an advocate for appreciating aging bodies and self-love at any age.
There’s no question that former supermodel Paulina Porizkova is an inspiration to all in the way she celebrates her body. In a recent Instagram post, Porizkova shared a photo posing in black and red stilettos and a black, lace bodysuit, revealing her toned legs, butt, and arms—but what followers notice more than her physique is the undeniable confidence.
“When I was younger, I put on lingerie for HIM. Now I dress in lingerie for ME,” she declared in the post’s caption.
She continued with a message of self-love and appreciation for aging. “No, I no longer have the suppleness of youth, but I have the softness of maturity. My eyes may not be as clearly defined or wide, but they see so much more. My lips may not be as full, but they are far more willing to speak truths and laugh without restraint,” she captioned the photo. “My hair is no longer brown, but the softening silver strands add interest and contrast. My skin no longer reflects light like a polished mirror, instead, it gathers it, and puts it inside my heart, where it warms and makes me shine.”
The Czech-born model declared we’re in a time where all women should be applauded for all their bodies can accomplish. “I celebrate me, my body, and the things it can do and feel. (So what - a little hip arthritis…) And mourn the years I lost to be able to fully appreciate it,” she wrote. “I’ve never liked the way I look more than I do today. (The other stuff is still a work in progress.) And THAT’S why I wear lingerie.”
The post was applauded by friends, colleagues, and other stars, like Selma Blair who cheered on Porizkova’s message, commenting “All true. Beautifully said. Beautifully presented every day. Love live.”
Following the photo, Porizkova shared a short commercial she shot with Laura Geller Beauty for their “Let’s Get Old Together” campaign. The model can be seen laying out on a pool chair in a bikini before she says, “Mature, advanced, middle-aged. Let’s just say it. I am getting older,” she pauses to spritz Laura Geller Beauty’s body mist over herself. “And what’s wrong with that? Older is sexy.”
The scene flashes to Porizkova applying Laura Geller Beauty lipstick in an office setting, rocking a stunning pink button-down tucked into a pin-straight white skirt. Her grey and blonde hair is perfectly tied back into a bun and she says, “Older is experienced.”
Viewers are then transported to the gym with Porizkova who wears a black two-piece workout set as she participates in a group exercise class. She’s surrounded by younger-looking women who can’t quite keep up with the former supermodel. “Older is powerful,” she says into the camera.
Finally, Porizkova brings us backstage an event where younger women are frantically applying makeup in the mirror to prepare. The former supermodel gazes at her reflection and says, “Sure, I’m getting older. And I’m the best I’ve ever been.”
“I'm so excited to be a part of a campaign that celebrates US, seasoned women. Because as you all know, representation of us in the media is still lacking,” Porizkova captioned the video. “Well, Laura Geller Beauty is changing that narrative. I'm so proud to be a part of a female-led company that celebrates us as we are. And is reminding us that yes, being older is SEXY. Being older is EXPERIENCED. Being older is POWERFUL. Let's normalize aging–let's get older together, beautifully.”
This isn’t the first time Porizkova has shared photos of herself in the name of self-love and beautiful aging. She recently clapped back at haters and posted a nude photo to her Instagram after commenters told her to stop showing off her aging body.
