Kim Kardashian West Celebrated Her 39th Birthday With A New Orleans-Style Beignet Truck, Obviously
Kim Kardashian West, a woman after my own heart, once flew to New Orleans while pregnant to eat a beignet (and to visit a fan on her birthday, who knew!). Thankfully, for the sake of her and all of LA's future cravings, there is now a New Orleans-style food truck in the area serving up sweet, powdery beignets and chicory coffee. Naturally, that truck—aptly called The Beignet Truck—showed up at Kim's 39th birthday, rounding out a full weekend of delicious food.
Kimmy's birthday celebrations started in Palm Springs, where she hung out with friends and lounged by the pool, per her Instagram posts. There was a cake, a sparkly pink Birthday Babe wine glass, and pink happy birthday napkins—it all looked very relaxing and great, TBH.
Then, presumably back home in LA, Kim's kids set out on the time-honored tradition of breakfast in bed. They served her pancakes that spelled out "Mom" along with a hard-boiled egg, what looks like sausage, and strawberries, plus some adorable hand-drawn cards. Cute!

Kris Jenner and Kanye threw Kim a chill(ish) dinner at her house for family that same night. By chill, we mean it looked vaguely like a carnival thanks to the beignet truck, churro truck, and ice cream all the bb Kardashian/Disick/Jenner kids were seen enjoying (@Saint, could you be any cuter?!). The family's favorite Armenian restaurant, Carousel, catered dinner, which included baklava. Girl has a sweet tooth and we appreciate it.
To round it all out, Kanye presented Kim with her gift: a cool $1 million donation to four organizations that work on prison reform (Cut 50, Buried Alive Project, Equal Justice Initiative, and the Anti-Recidivism Coalition) on behalf of North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. Kim wrote on Instagram, "This makes my heart so happy!"
We can only imagine what the big 4-0 will bring!!
