The tiaras will be out in full force tonight at the annual diplomatic reception at Buckingham Palace, with the Duchess of Cambridge sporting her much-beloved Lover's Knot headpiece.

We got a first look at Kate's ensemble as she traveled to the white tie event by car this evening. While photographers could only capture part of her outfit through the window, she was obviously wearing the tiara, and appears to have paired it with sparkly drop earrings, a matching necklace, and a chic up-do.

In addition to her statement jewelry, Kate is also expected to wear a blue sash this evening, which symbolizes her role as a member of the Royal Victorian Order.

Tonight marks only the second time she's worn the sash publicly since receiving the honor back in April on her eighth wedding anniversary.

At the time Kate was awarded the Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order, a statement was released from royal communications announcing the news. It reads:

"The Queen has been pleased to make the following appointment to the Royal Victorian Order: To be a Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order (GCVO) - HRH The Duchess of Cambridge."

Kate will also likely be wearing her soft yellow Royal Family Order, a separate honor, which made its debut in October of 2018.

Hopefully additional photos from inside of the reception will be shared later on, as they were last year. We'll continue to update this post with details about Kate's gown if that is the case.
