Of Course Kylie Jenner Is Already Trademarking 'Rise and Shine' After It Hit 1 Billion Views on TikTok

Kylie Jenner pulled just the move you'd expect from a young billionaire whose "Rise and Shine" singing clip went viral last week: She filed to trademark the phrase, according to TMZ.

The reality star has already been cashing in on the popular Twitter meme prior to the trademark news. She released two "Rise and Shine" hoodies on her Kylie Shop site days after the clip took off on social media. They already sold out:

And that was just the beginning. Get ready for Jenner to make a lot more money off this: She applied for a trademark that covers "belts, pants, coats, dresses, footwear, gloves, headbands, headwear, jackets, loungewear, scarves, sleepwear, socks, swimwear and undergarments, as well as cosmetics," according to the outlet.

Jenner's "Rise and Shine" still has a lot of momentum behind it. On TikTok, the hashtag #riseandshine got 1 billion views by Sunday, TMZ reported. It is the platform's fastest growing trend so far, with many users doing their own renditions of it.

Ariana Grande is one of the highest profile celebrities to cover it. Her interest in it may ultimately lead Jenner to getting actual Billboard Hot 100 placement. Grande asked to sample the audio clip in an upcoming song. Jenner granted her permission on one condition: "Yes, yes you can @arianagrande. As long as I'm in the music video."

Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson also covered it over the weekend. "your new alarm clock 🌞 ⏰," Cyrus captioned the 'gram:

Essentially, Jenner's "Rise and Shine" isn't going away anytime soon, sorry to everyone already over it. A "Rise and Shine" Kylie Cosmetic collection, tons of clothes, and maybe even an Ariana Grande single are all possibilities.
