The weather is officially freezing which means I am only interested in foods that will make me feel warm and toasty inside. I am not an all-seasons ice cream person, I am no longer interested in frozen margs or anything that hasn't been roasted, fried, or baked. Give me mulled wine, bread, lasagna, and yes, chicken tortilla soup, bb!

Chick-fil-A quietly announced the return of the true GOAT, Chicken Tortilla Soup, earlier this month, but with all the chicken sandwich hullaballoo, I just noticed it now. Forgive me!

The chain's Chicken Tortilla Soup is made up of a lot of things you'd expect—shredded boneless chicken breast, navy, northern, and black beans—and some things you might not, i.e. it has a delicious and spicy cream base, which how all soups should be made in my opinion. No dollop of sour cream required, it's already there.

Unlike so many seasonal items, you don't have to rush to enjoy this treat. It's going to stick around until March so, Black Friday shopping? Feel free to get a hot cup of soup. Last-minute holiday shopping? Soup time! Post-New Year's hangover? Soup!!!! Valentine's Day date? OK, maybe then you get some waffle fries, too, but you get the point!

If you're eating it so often, you might want to follow some of these insider tips Chick-fil-A shared on its blog. Some suggest adding hot sauce and ranch; others say bacon, lime, and cheese; while even more suggest taking it home and getting more chips to dip in it. OK, how am I already hungry again?
