The Absolute Best Memes About Kim Kardashian's "Humble" 40th Birthday on a Private Island
- Oops!Something went wrong.Please try again later.
Kim Kardashian celebrated her 40th birthday on a private island and decided it was a good idea to brag about it to the internet.
It wasn't.
In case ya missed it (unlikely because the Kardashians won't stop celebrating), Kim Kardashian just turned 40. And yesterday she revealed that she and her family broke California's non-essential travel ban and went on an elaborate private island vacation.
Kim could have announced this news by simply posting the dictionary definition of "privilege," but instead wrote the following insane post—the most !!! portion of which is here:
"After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time. We danced, rode bikes, swam near whales, kayaked, watched a movie on the beach and so much more. I realize that for most people, this is something that is so far out of reach right now, so in moments like these, I am humbly reminded of how privileged my life is."

Lol, imagine thinking "normal" is being on a private island. Anyway, the internet at large obviously simply could not deal with this absolute insanity, so here ya go:

On top of all this ^^^^, Kim's followers accurately and more than fairly called out her utter obliviousness, so here's some of that for you to enjoy over coffee:
The utter cluelessness and lack of awareness of the struggle that 99.9% of the people on earth are currently going through right now is disgusting. Your version of “let them eat cake” is beyond cruel. In the end, it never ends well for the Marie Antoinettes of the world pic.twitter.com/QLEEAAt11o

I feel like, maybe, you should not have shared this with us and just kept it to yourself. People are dying and the rest of us are suffering as we watch the body count rise quarantined in our homes. This is tone deaf and insensitive.
