Twilight fans might think they know everything there is to know about the fantasy franchise, but it turns out that there are still new things to discover about our favourite vampires and werewolves.

Amazingly one fan has discovered a little-known scene from the original 2008 Twilight movie that initially ended up on the cutting-room floor but has been restored to its full glory in the extended edition.

The fan shared their discovery on TikTok, filming and narrating the scene in question and joking in the post's caption that their voice "is way too calm in the beginning for how insane this scene is".

The additional lines of dialogue take place during the scene in which Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) visits Edward Cullen's (Robert Pattinson) home for the first time and looks around his bedroom, a version of which did make it into the movie.

The very odd deleted section of the scene sees Bella pick up a rainstick and announce to Edward that she and her mother used to make their own using empty toilet roll tubes and chinchilla poo.

"I had a chinchilla and me and my mom used to make these out of the chinchilla's droppings and, like, paper towel rolls," Bella reveals to a rather surprised looking Edward in the scene. "Maybe that's weird."

The viewer who captured the scene joked that if that moment had been included in the final movie Bella could have been a more popular character, saying: "I know why everybody says that Bella doesn't have a personality and it's because they left out this scene right here."

If you want a bit of added chinchilla poo during your next viewing of Twilight, you can apparently find the scene in the extended edition of the first movie on Amazon Prime Video in the US, according to the TikTok user.

In the UK, Twilight fans can watch the films on Netflix – although, sadly, they're not the extended editions.

Twilight writer Stephenie Meyer released a new Twilight book this summer in the form of Midnight Sun, which retells the events of the first Twilight novel from Edward's perspective rather than Bella's.

In great news for fans, the author later revealed that she actually has two more books planned for the franchise from the perspectives of different characters, one of which she has already written the first chapter for.

Whether chinchillas will feature remains to be seen.
