Seth Rogen Has Perfect Response After 20-Year-Old Arrested With McLovin Fake ID

A 20-year-old Iowan was arrested over the weekend and accused of carrying a fake ID referencing one of Seth Rogen’s most fondly remembered movies, and on Tuesday the actor had the perfect response.

According to the Iowa Press-Citizen, on Oct. 11 Daniel Burleson was arrested after police say they saw him drinking in a bar and confirmed he was under age. After taking him outside, the paper reports, police say they asked to see the fake ID he used, only to discover it was a fake Hawaiian ID with the name “McLovin,” inspired by the fake ID used by Christopher Mintz-Plasse in Rogen’s 2007 comedy “Superbad.”

According to the Press-Citizen, Burleson faces several alcohol-related charges. Judging by his mugshot, also published by the Press-Citizen, Burleson was very amused by the whole thing.

Five days later, Rogen caught wind of the story and succinctly said what everyone else was basically thinking:

Zing!

For those of you who haven’t seen “Superbad,” it follows a trio of high school friends played by Jonah Hill, Michael Cera and Mintz-Plasse on a wild party night just before they graduate from high school. Mintz-Plasse’s character ends up befriending two local cops (Rogen and Bill Hader) who pretend not to recognize that his “McLovin” ID is fake, though his story doesn’t end with his being arrested.
