Camila Cabello says her new tattoo is ‘screwed’ and ready for a touch-up: 'I gotta go through this pain again'

Camila Cabello isn’t feeling her tattoo anymore, calling the ink “screwed” and sharing plans for a touch-up.

The singer spilled in an intimate Q&A on Friday, from a weekend pop-up experience in Los Angeles to celebrate her new album Romance. The interview was a tribute to “Camilizers” who couldn’t attend the “multi-sensory” event hosted by Verizon (Yahoo’s parent company) in the Fairfax District of Los Angeles. The pop-up offers tracks from Cabello’s album, exclusive merchandise — and possibly face time with the Señorita singer.

During the live-streamed Q&A, Cabello complained about her tattoo, which she recently got from Los Angeles artist Kane Navasard and with boyfriend Shawn Mendes by her side, according to Entertainment Tonight. The design on Cabello’s pinky finger read, “It’s a mystery,” a quote from the 1998 film Shakespeare in Love, one of her favorites.

In mid-November, Cabello shared an Instagram close-up of the art, writing, “Never thought I’d get a tattoo before but I asked my mom to write to me a promise she’d want me to make to her that she thought i would need for the rest of my life, long story short, it’s a pinky swear to her to remember, no matter what happens, everything is gonna turn out well. There’s no telling how, but it always does.”

But on Friday, Cabello admitted to not following care protocol. “OK guys, my tattoo’s screwed,” she said during the Q&A. “Because I didn’t put moisturizer on it. Who here has tattoos?” she asked the audience.

“First rule, you gotta moisturize it when you get it...it’s faded!” The tattoo apparently now reads “a mystery.”

“I gotta go through this pain again,” she added jokingly. “That’s OK — I love the pain!”
