Antonio Brown Loses Nike Sponsorship Amid Rape Allegations

Antonio Brown is now suffering a huge financial backlash following allegations that he sexually assaulted his personal trainer.

Nike told reporters on Wednesday evening that, "Antonio Brown is not a Nike athlete," and offered up no other explanation about when the sports company decided to part ways with the NFL wide receiver.

Brown, who just played his first game as a New England Patriot, had scored a sponsorship with Nike and they released a sneaker earlier this year baring his name.

In February, Nike had debuted the "Nike Tech Trainer Antonio Brown" shoe, which featured a golden sole, floral patterns and Brown's #84 stitched into the side.

The tongue of the show also carried his trademark phrase, "Business is Boomin."

The trainers retailed for $100, but after Nike's announcement that they had cut ties, they were no longer available for sale in the online store.

Brown has been a huge pusher of Nike. In 2018, he appeared in a YouTube video, called "Antonio Brown Goes Sneaker Shopping with Complex," where he talks about his obsession with the Swoosh.

He also dropped a big hint about his future sponsorship, and announced that he would be, "getting a huge Nike deal."

As we reported, Britney Taylor has accused Brown of 3 separate incidents of sexual assault, with two of them taking place in 2017 in Pittsburgh and 1 in 2018 at his home in Florida.

On Wednesday, the Allegheny County District Attorney announced they will not pursue criminal charges over the 2017 incidents due to a statute of limitations ... but they did not speak to the merit of the accusations.

Brown has maintained his innocence regarding all allegations of sexual assault.
