'Young Sheldon' star Raegan Revord, 15, reveals she had panic attacks, PTSD after car crash

"Young Sheldon" star Raegan Revord is opening up about the struggles she faced after she and her mother were hit by a driver who was under the influence.

The 15-year-old actress, who plays Missy Cooper on the hit CBS sitcom, wrote on Instagram Thursday that she and her mother were "t-boned" in a car crash while they were on the way to work.

"Tonight’s episode was incredibly challenging for me to film, personally," Revord wrote. "The irony here is I’m pretty much in a car for this entire episode, but you know what they say, 'you gotta get back on the saddle'."

Revord shared she suffered "full blown panic attacks and PTSD for weeks after the accident" and thanked the cast and crew of "Young Sheldon" for supporting her through this time.

"The only way I was able to get through it was because of the most loving and supporting cast and crew," she wrote. "They checked in with me along the way and never made me feel like finishing filming was a priority, that my well being came first."

She added: "With that said, I hope you enjoy tonight’s episode. When I read the script I remember being so excited to film it."

Revord's 14-year-old co-star Iain Armitage expressed his gratitude for her wellbeing in the comments.

"Best crew! And so glad you are alright!!" he wrote.

"Getting to see how much your show cared for you as an actor AND a human being was really really special," wrote Mckenna Grace, who plays Paige Swanson on the show. "So proud of you for fighting through this."

Revord has played Sheldon's sister, Missy Cooper, on "Young Sheldon" since 2017. She's also acted in the shows "Grace and Frankie," "Modern Family" and "Alexa & Katie."
