Yee-Haw Brewing opened Friday, and its 'XXX Hot' chicken menu is by Nashville royalty
Yee-Haw Brewing Company is finally open in Knoxville, and its delicious, worst-kept secret is now official.
The taproom opened in North Knoxville at 745 N. Broadway with a spicy surprise of a menu.
The Johnson City-based beer brand set its sights on Knoxville back in 2021, and it has locations in Pigeon Forge, Nashville and Greenville, South Carolina. Here are five things you need to know about Yee-Haw Brewing as taps open.
“We’re just so excited to welcome the community to this amazing new space and see how it comes to life,” CEO of Yee-Haw Brewing Jennifer Podhajsky said in a press release. “It’s really the people that make our taprooms so special, and we can’t wait to see how Knoxville’s unique personality shines through."
Yee-Haw will serve Prince's Hot Chicken
Yee-Haw is bringing the Nashville-famous and "XXX hot" Prince's Hot Chicken to the brewpub.
For almost 80 years, Prince's Hot Chicken Shack has been burning up Nashville. This is its Knoxville debut.
Prince's menu in Nashville includes everything from a whole chicken down to four tenders with tons of sides and flavors from plain to four levels of hot.
This will mark the second time the brewery has worked with Prince's. The brewery previously provided food for its Greenville, South Carolina, location, which at the time was the only place to get Prince's outside of Nashville. The chain has three Nashville locations.
When does Yee-Haw open?
Fortunately, we don't have to wait any longer for Yee-Haw. The 18,000-square-foot taproom is open.
It's open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday for industry night, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday and 11 a.m. to midnight Thursday through Sunday.
It is the seventh location opened by the brewery and the first in Knoxville. It is the second-largest Yee-Haw location.
Along with the brewpub, Yee-Haw is officially putting its corporate headquarters in Knoxville.
Where is Yee-Haw?
The brewery is in the former home of Elkmont Exchange Brewery.
Opening weekend might be crazy. You can check out other nearby breweries, including Next Level, Xul, Crafty Bastard and Geezer's.
