I don't have a high opinion of the so called morality or integrity of the majority of my fellow Americans. I don't feel that the majority has the integrity to stand for what they really believe in the face of adversity, or more importantly, in the face of public scrutiny and peer pressure. I personally feel that many Americans that "poll positively" on the LGBTQ issues do so because it has become accepted and they are more in fear of being ostracized for standing out. That being said, I also believe many people will vote for Buttigieg to prove their not discriminatory in the actions, while others will find "other" reasons to vote against him. There are good many that also will vote openly against for the sole reason of his orientation - both sexual and political. Some few will actually just look at just his political platform and vote accordingly. The media will as always create stories to force their own ideologies instead of report the news.
I don't have anything against the man, but I am not ready for the world to see our leader as an openly gay man whose may fill his cabinet with other openly gay people. I have to be honest. I am just not ready for that.
There's that old standby reference to polls again. Does anybody remember what all the polls said in 2016 prior to the election? Trump's election told us all that polls are simply wish lists and propaganda from pollsters.
Has anyone viewed the actual Gallup poll numbers? I do not recall being questioned on any of this subject matter, yet somehow 78% of Americans say......???
That is exactly what many people are asking themselves and speaking to others about quietly. Let's be honest, is the county ready for this? We will find out shortly, won't we?
You knew this was comin'...
The country (the world) is NOT going to accept an openly gay President.
That's reality, but the left doesn't deal in reality.
Also, there's no such thing as "fair." It just is what it is.
What would call him? First man? Lady man? First partner? So confusing
G-d Bless President Donald Trump, and bless him for saying that and feeling it. He's my president and I'm proud of him.
If I received a telephone call regarding this question - I'd lie for fear of being bias! Whether you agree or disagree - how can the USA maintain a positive relationship with foreign nations with a gay president and his husband/wife - especially with the Middle Eastern Countries?
