Woman shot and killed during Fort Smith store robbery Friday night
A woman inside a convenience store Friday night was shot and killed during what police reported as an apparent aggravated robbery and homicide, and officers were looking for a person who fired shots at another person during the getaway in the parking lot.
Chanell Moore, 26, was shot and killed at the store Friday night, police report.
About 10:15 p.m. the shooter walked into the Doug's Eastside Convenience Center store at 9017 Rogers Avenue. Moore was shot during the robber, police reported. A customer who had pulled into the parking lot said the shooter fired another shot, but the customer was not hit.

Police did not release a description of the shooter early Saturday.
Yellow crime scene tape was around the property at 91st Street and Rogers Ave. near the Smile Bull Restaurant. Several people who gathered in front of the store Saturday morning declined to comment about what happened.
The shooter got in a vehicle and fled in an unknown direction, police reported. A description of the vehicle was not available Saturday.
