His 3-yard touchdown catch put the Badgers up 24-6 and it capped a 15-play, 72-yard drive that spanned 5:35. It ended up being Wisconsin's final points in its 24-13 victory.

Ashcraft has had a nice start to his college career (he entered the game with four catches for 68 yards). He initially committed to Colorado but after Deion Sanders was hired in December he de-committed. Less than two weeks later, the Seattle native committed to Wisconsin. He then quickly moved up the Wisconsin tight end depth chart during the offseason in which there was a lot of turnover at that position.
