How much snow will New York get during winter snowstorm?

Here are the latest projected snowfall totals for areas in New York.

  • Buffalo: 12 to 20 inches

  • Batavia: 12 to 20 inches

  • Rochester: 12 to 18 inches

  • Niagara Falls: 18 to 22 inches

  • Canandaigua: 10 to 14 inches

  • Newark: 12 to 18 inches

  • Warsaw: 12 to 20 inches

  • Watertown: 8 to 12 inches

How much snow has fallen so far in Rochester and Buffalo NY

The National Weather Service in Buffalo shared some early-morning snowfall tallies as around Monroe County as the snow continues to fall throughout the Rochester region on Monday.

As of 7 a.m., 6.9 inches of snow fell at the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport since the storm first hit Rochester Sunday evening, according to the Weather Service. During the same time frame, 14.9 inches fell at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport, as of 7 a.m.

Here are some snow totals throughout Monroe County:

  • Hamlin: 11 inches at 5:20 a.m.

  • Webster: 10 inches at 5:40 a.m.

  • Fairport: 8.8 inches at 6 a.m.

  • Chili: 7.5 inches at 5 a.m.

  • Penfield : 7 inches at 6 a.m.

  • Brighton: 7 inches at 5 a.m.
