Why LSU women's basketball has crown on bench for Angel Reese at Sweet 16 in March Madness
GREENVILLE, S.C. – LSU women's basketball has become known for its flair the past couple of seasons under coach Kim Mulkey, who wears lively outfits at each game.
Fitting for the 3-seeded Tigers (30-2), who are getting set to take on No. 2 seed Utah (27-4) in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament inside Bon Secours Wellness Arena on Friday afternoon, a crown was spotted on their bench pregame.
The crown is for LSU's star player, sophomore Angel Reese's pregame handshake with teammates Amani Bartlett, who places the crown on Reese's head at the shake's conclusion.
