Why Cason Wallace isn't on OKC Thunder's NBA Summer League roster ... yet

The Thunder unveiled its Summer League roster on Saturday, with one notable omission: Cason Wallace, the No. 10 pick in the draft.

That’s because the Thunder’s draft-night trade with the Mavericks to acquire Wallace won’t be official until Thursday at the earliest, when trades can be finalized.

Wallace will miss the Thunder’s three games in Salt Lake City Summer League — on July 3, 5 and 6 — but he’s expected to join the team in Las Vegas for the main summer league, which features all 30 teams.

The Thunder will open Las Vegas Summer League at 2:30 p.m. Saturday against the Mavericks.
