πA sneak peek inside Delaware's first Wegmans before Wednesday's opening
Signs to keep eager shoppers at bay ("Sorry, we're closed") will last only a day longer at Delaware's first Wegmans in Greenville's new Barley Mill.
The parking lot has been packed with employees from across the East Coast putting the finishing touches on the store, prompting passing cars to stop for a peek in, says store manager Jared Fedor. They'll finally get their chance when the new Wegmans greets its first customers Wednesday at 9 a.m.
"I think our products and our services really speak for themselves," Fedor said.

πAs Wegmans prepares to open, here's what else will be at the new Barley Mill Plaza
the plan for the Barley Mill Plaza mixed-use development brought forward by Newport developer Greg Pettinaro is coming to fruition. Wegmans is scheduled to open Wednesday, Oct. 26. A few businesses already are open in the four brown brick retail buildings beside Wegmans, and others are on the way.
Thirty-three townhomes and 80 luxury flats will be built nearby, and construction of an office building is in progress.

πDelaware's first Wegmans is taking shape. The store will be smaller than Concordville one.
The first Wegmans in Delaware is beginning to take shape, the centerpiece of Greenville's redeveloped Barley Mill Plaza.
The tan body of the grocery store, which faces northbound drivers on Centre Road, is now capped by the base of Wegmans' signature clock tower. Construction crews have been working on the store since October. It is expected to open in the second half of this year, according to company spokesperson Laura Camera.

What's happening at Barley Mill Plaza, the site of Delaware's first Wegmans
Construction of Delaware's first Wegmans, which was years in the making, began Monday in Greenville.
The grocery store is being built at Route 141 and Lancaster Pike and is expected to open in the second half of 2022, according to a company spokesperson. Wegmans is anchoring a redevelopment of Barley Mill Plaza, which was formerly home to a DuPont office complex.
