Vanderbilt baseball stunned No. 2 Arkansas on Friday, thanks to a wild eight-run eighth-inning (we see you, Troy LaNeve) — and some home run robbery from Enrique Bradfield Jr.
No. 6 Vanderbilt was clinging to a two-run lead in the top of the ninth when Arkansas' Kendall Diggs belted a Nick Maldonado pitch to straightaway center.
Bradfield timed his jump, leapt and snatched the would-be homer as the Commodores held on for a 10-8 victory at Hawkins Field.
The win clinched a top-four seed for Vanderbilt in next week's SEC tournament and gave the Commodores a jolt of momentum after a sluggish start to the three-game series (Arkansas won 8-2 on Thursday night).
