Watch Filip Engaras score OT goal to cap UNH hockey's weekend sweep of Holy Cross, Harvard
DURHAM — Goals still aren't coming often or easily for the University of New Hampshire men's hockey team, but lately the Wildcats are getting goals when they need them.
Senior forward Filip Engaras, of Stockholm, Sweden, notched his fourth goal of the season with 49.3 seconds left in overtime to lift UNH to a 3-2 victory on Saturday night against Holy Cross at the Whittemore Center Arena.
The Wildcats improved to .500 with a 7-7-1 overall mark after their third consecutive victory, while the Crusaders dropped to 3-12-1 overall. The victory came one night after UNH's 1-0 shutout victory at Harvard and one week after UNH's 2-1 overtime win over the University of Massachusetts, the defending national champion.

"It wasn't perfect, it wasn't pretty, you have to give Holy Cross a lot of credit, obviously I thought they battled hard, they played right until the end," UNH coach Mike Souza said after the win over Holy Cross. "I didn't think we were as detailed we had been, at times we made the game difficult on ourselves, but a win is a win. ... As we talked about, in college hockey you have to win weekends and we found a way to get a win in overtime with a big time play by Filip."
Holy Cross tied the game on an extra attacker goal with their goalie pulled with two minutes left in the third period on a goal by Bobby Young, which was his first tally of the season.
Robinson stopped 20 shots in his fifth win of the season for the Wildcats, a night after the shutout against Harvard.
Matt Radomsky tallied 24 saves to fall to 2-6-1 in net for Holy Cross.

Senior forward Tyler Ward scored a power play goal to give the 'Cats the 2-1 lead in the second stanza at 9:29.
Lucas Thorne opened the scoring in the game at 1:41 of the first period, but the 'Cats tied it less than six minutes later on freshman forward Will Margel's (Potomac, Md.) first collegiate tally in a Wildcat uniform.
Jackson Pierson won 14-of-22 faceoffs (64%) for the 'Cats on the night.
UNH went 1-for-4 on the power play and went a perfect 3-for-3 on the penalty kill.
Shutout at Harvard
In Cambridge, Massachusetts, Friday night, Robinson stopped 27 shots for his eighth career shutout in the Wildcats' 1-0 victory at No. 16 ranked Harvard at Bright-Landry Hockey Center.
Pierson got the Wildcats on the scoreboard at the 9:36 mark of the third period with his sixth goal of the season on a breakaway chance that beat Harvard goalie Mitchell Gibson five hole. It marked Pierson's fifth goal in his last five games for the Wildcats.
"I was really proud of our guys, we were in the same situation last weekend vs. UMass, we had to kill a penalty late in the game," Souza said after the game. "The penalty kill came through with that 6x4, I just thought our guys had a lot of push tonight. It was a great team win."
The teams skated to a scoreless first period with the Wildcats holding a 11-9 advantage in shots on goal. Harvard owned a 10-5 edge in shots on target in the second. The Crimson owned a 27-24 advantage in shots on goal against the 'Cats on the evening.
