Watch Clemson football's Nate Wiggins pick-six in ACC Championship Game
Clemson football cornerback Nate Wiggins has had an up-and-down season, but the good has outweighed the bad in the final month of the season.
The best came in the third quarter of Clemson's ACC Championship Game against North Carolina on Saturday in Charlotte.
Wiggins picked off UNC quarterback Drake Maye near the goal line and returned it 98 yards for a game-flipping touchdown.
Yes, Maye made a very poor decision. But Wiggins was in position and made the run after the catch to score, one play after making a play on the ball. It impacted the game situation, with UNC driving down 24-10. Instead of a Tar Heels opportunity to cut the deficit to one score, the Tigers led 32-10.

Wiggins also blocked a UNC field goal in the first half and is credited with two tackles and two pass breakups on Saturday.
Wiggins' strong final month included six tackles against Miami (Fla.) and two tackles for a loss against South Carolina.
The sophomore out of Atlanta leads the team with 10 pass breakups. His biggest play of the season before Saturday was the game-sealing defense on fourth down in overtime to seal the Tigers' win at Wake Forest after struggling against the Demon Deacons' pass game.
Now, Wiggins is a big part of the Tigers' secondary now and going into 2023.
