The Memphis Showboats defeated the previously unbeaten New Orleans Breakers 17-10 Sunday in Birmingham, Alabama.

The Showboats have won back-to-back games after starting the season 0-3.

Quarterback Cole Kelley, in his second start of the season, engineered the nine-play, 59-yard game-winning drive in the game's final minutes. Trailing 10-9, Kelley's 4-yard touchdown pass to John Mitchell with 2:16 left in the game put the Showboats (2-3) on top for good. Kelley subsequently delivered a successful 2-point conversion pass to running back Juwan Washington to extend the lead to 17-10.
