With a card made up entirely of matches with unique stipulations, Saturday's Extreme Rules premium live event has a chance to be one of the best of 2022.

While the show won't feature a title defense by undisputed WWE universal champion Roman Reigns, it is stacked nonetheless and will be highlighted by a pair of women's championship matches in the form of Bianca Belair against Bayley and Liv Morgan vs. Ronda Rousey.

Additionally, some major beefs will be settled in the men's division, plus the stage will potentially be set for next month's Survivor Series.

Here is everything you need to know about Extreme Rules, including when and where to watch it and which matches are most worth monitoring.

Where: Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia

When: Saturday, Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. ET (Kickoff Show starts at 7 p.m. ET)

Watch: Peacock

Top Extreme Rules Matches to Watch

Seth Rollins vs. Matt Riddle

Extreme Rules should be a great show from top to bottom in terms of match quality, but it will be tough to beat the Fight Pit match between Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle.

Rollins and Riddle have been engaged in one of the most heated rivalries in recent memory over the past few months, as both have taken personal shots at each other and got physical at every chance to do so.

The Fight Pit was done twice in NXT and was critically acclaimed each time, so there is plenty of reason to believe that it will lead to another barn burner on the main roster.

Adding to the intrigue is the addition of former UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier as the special guest referee. Cormier is an all-time great in the UFC, and he should bring additional credibility to the match.

Cormier is also a longtime wrestling fan, so he may play a much bigger role than a referee typically would.

Since the Fight Pit can only end by submission or knockout, it stands to reason that Rollins and Riddle will beat each other to a pulp, and that should make for a match-of-the-year contender.

Bianca Belair vs. Bayley

A rivalry that was renewed at SummerSlam will finally come to a head at Extreme Rules when Bianca Belair defends the Raw women's title against Bayley in a ladder match.

After missing more than a year with a knee injury, Bayley returned at SummerSlam after Belair's win over Becky Lynch. Bayley didn't come alone, though, as she formed Damage CTRL with Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky.

Damage CTRL has made life miserable for Belair since then, as well as The EST's allies, Asuka and Alexa Bliss. Belair may be on her own at Extreme Rules since both Asuka and Bliss were seemingly taken out on Monday's episode of Raw.

Bayley has Kai and Sky by her side, plus she has a ton of momentum entering Extreme Rules after pinning Belair in a six-woman tag team match at Clash at the Castle.

Belair and Bayley are two of the most talented female in-ring performers to ever compete in WWE, and they have had great matches against each other in the past, including a Hell in a Cell match.

Given their talent and chemistry, Belair and Bayley have a chance to make their ladder match truly special.

There is also plenty of doubt over who will prevail, which should make it even more of a must-see affair.

Imperium vs. Brawling Brutes

In terms of physicality, it is difficult to think of a match that could top Imperium vs. The Brawling Brutes, especially when there are no rules.

The issues between the two stables began leading up to Clash at the Castle, where Gunther retained the Intercontinental Championship against Sheamus in arguably one of the best matches in years.

Gunther brought Giovanni Vinci into the fold at that event alongside himself and Ludwig Kaiser, which evened the odds against Brawling Brutes members Sheamus, Butch and Ridge Holland.

In the weeks that followed, Imperium and The Brawling Brutes have continued to feud, including a six-man tag team match on SmackDown that Imperium won.

Another six-man is set for Extreme Rules, but it should be even more exciting this time since it will be contested under Good Old Fashioned Donnybrook rules, meaning anything goes.

All six men in the match are tough, hard-hitting competitors, meaning there may be no one left standing by the end of the bout.
