Two Michigan football DBs announce plans to enter transfer portal

A pair of Michigan football defensive backs announced their intentions to leave the program and enter the NCAA transfer portal Wednesday.

George Johnson and Andre Seldon posted social media messages revealing their plans to continue their college careers elsewhere.

Johnson and Seldon played a combined total of 33 snaps since joining the Wolverines. Johnson, a former three-star recruit from Stuart, Florida, arrived in 2019. Seldon came the following year from Belleville and was ranked the 11th-best cornerback in his class.

The departures of Johnson and Seldon come just two days after fellow defensive back Darion Green-Warren and linebacker Anthony Solomon entered the portal.

The losses in the secondary will be mitigated by the arrival of five newcomers, including five-star cornerback Will Johnson of Grosse Pointe South.
