Who should be the Tuscaloosa area girls high school athlete of the week for May 2-8?

Who was the area's top girls high school sports performer last week? You tell us. You can vote for the high school athlete of the week until noon Thursday. You don't have to be a subscriber to vote. Votes are limited to one per hour per device.

Holy Spirit Catholic track and field: The Saints won the 1A track and field outdoor state championship and the 4x800-meter relay with a 11:31.77 finish. Alyssa Mack placed first in the pole vault at 7 feet, 6 inches, Olivia Watkins won the 400 meters in 1:03.93 and Chole Moore won the 800 meters at 2:34.87.

STATE TRACK: Holy Spirit Catholic girls track wins state AHSAA championship behind three individual titles

HILLCREST SOFTBALL: How Hillcrest softball rallied in weeks after a top hitter tore ACL to win area championship

Katie Robbins, Hillcrest softball: Had the walk-off RBI in a 7-6 comeback win over Brookwood to claim the Class 6A-Area 7 championship. In the sixth inning, she hit a triple and scored.

Rashni Walker, Northridge track and field: The Samford signee won four 6A events. Her first-place finishes were 40 feet, 7.5 inches in the shot put, 141 feet, 3 inches in the javelin throw, 43.54 seconds in the 300-meter hurdle and the 100-meter hurdles in 14.47.

Shonedra Richardson, Demopolis track and field: Won four 5A events to help Demopolis to a fourth-place. She won the triple jump at 36 feet, 11 inches; the long jump at 19 feet, 2.5 inches; the 200 meters in 24.07; and the 100 meters in 12.16. Richardson broke a 31-year-old 5A long jump record.

McKinley Hubbard, Brookwood softball: In last week's area 6A-Area 7 tournament, the junior had a .545 batting average, two doubles, one triple, two home runs and nine RBIs.

Mallory Ballou, American Christian Academy soccer: Scored the team's lone goal in regulation in a 1-1 game that went to two overtimes. ACA won by going 4-3 on penalty kicks against Altamont. She made three saves stepping in as goalkeeper in the shootout.

Amiyah Johnson, Sulligent track and field: Won the 2A 100 meters in 12.45.
