Tommy 'Tanks' White not in the lineup for LSU baseball vs. Texas A&M in SEC Tournament

HOOVER, Ala. – LSU baseball third baseman Tommy White is not in the Tigers' starting lineup for Friday's matchup against No. 10 seed Texas A&M in the fourth round of the SEC Tournament (3 p.m., SEC Network).

White is out of the lineup because "he needs a break," LSU coach Jay Johnson said, according to a team spokesperson.

Outfielder Brayden Jobert will start at third base in White's place. With Jobert on the infield, Tre Morgan and Paxton Kling will start for LSU in left and right field, respectively.

The No. 3 seed Tigers (43-14) lost to No. 2 seed Arkansas on Thursday to drop to the losers bracket of the SEC Tournament. If the Tigers defeat the Aggies on Friday, they'll face Arkansas again in the semifinals on Saturday (Noon, SEC Network).

White is 3-for-9 with two RBIs during the tournament. The NC State transfer has 20 home runs and is second in the nation with 91 RBIs on the season.
