Texas Tech gears up for Arizona
After earning the win in the regular season home opener, the Texas Tech women's soccer team is looking to continue that positive roll.
The Red Raiders (1-0-0) get that chance when they host Arizona (1-0-0) at 7 p.m. Sunday and round out its weekend of action at the John Walker Soccer Complex.
Charlotte Teeter, a team captain who netted two goals a year ago, recorded her first score of the year in the 23rd minute by flicking a ball over the goalie in a 2-0 win over Troy on Thursday. Ashleigh Williams provided the second insurance goal in the second half, while Macy Blackburn tallied assists on both scores — her third multi-assist match after two a year prior.

The Wildcats own a victory over fellow Big 12 squad Iowa State — finishing off a come-from-behind victory to claim a 2-1 home win against the Cyclones. Arizona tied the match in the 81st before an own goal proved to be the difference.
The Red Raiders are two wins away from 1,000 inside the John Walker Soccer Complex. Texas Tech has played in the facility the past 15 seasons.
