Texas Panhandle High School Sports Awards taking Courage Award nominations
The Amarillo Globe-News is now taking nominations for the Courage Award for the Texas Panhandle High School Sports Awards show, which will be back as a live event this spring. More details about the program are coming soon.
The Courage Award recognizes a student-athlete, coach or someone close to a high school athletic program who exhibits extraordinary strength and courage in daily life, on and off the fields of athletic competition.
Anyone can nominate someone for consideration for this award. To do so, email sports@amarillo.com. Nomination deadline is March 31.
The Courage Award winner will be recognized during the live show this spring.
The Texas Panhandle High School Sports Awards show is part of the USA TODAY High School Sports Awards, the largest high school sports recognition program in the country.
