Texas' Moro Ojomo drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in Round 7 of 2023 NFL Draft
After five years as a Longhorn, Moro Ojomo is now an Eagle.
Ojomo was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the seventh round of the NFL draft on Saturday. He was the 249th overall pick.
The 6-foot-3, 292-pound Ojomo was the 22nd defensive tackle taken off the board this week. At the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis, Ojomo posted the third-best performance in the bench press and second-best vertical jump among the participating defensive tackles.

Over his five years at Texas, Ojomo compiled 95 tackles. He appeared in 50 games, started 30 times and was used at various spots on the defensive line.
Key play: Of Ojomo's five career sacks, three were recorded this season. One of those takedowns came at the expense of TCU quarterback Max Duggan, the eventual Heisman Trophy finalist and seventh-round pick of the Los Angeles Chargers. Ojomo combined with teammate Barryn Sorrell on the sack.

Notable number: 34. The Longhorns' last two seventh-round picks have both enjoyed lengthy NFL careers. In fact, Kris Boyd and Geoff Swaim combined to play in 34 games last season. A defensive back, Boyd was drafted by Minnesota in 2019. Swaim got a seventh-round call from Dallas in 2015.
