The Vols (44-21) stayed in the CWS with a 6-4 comeback win against Stanford. Chase Burns threw six innings of scoreless relief, striking out nine and allowing two hits with no walks. It was Tennessee's first win in Omaha since 2001, snapping a six-game losing streak.

Tennessee lost its first game 6-3 against LSU on Saturday to fall into the elimination portion of its bracket. Stanford is the lone team that has been eliminated from the UT side of the bracket.
