It’s finally happening, Lexington: Taco John’s is about to open its first Central Kentucky location.
The new restaurant at 525 E. Brannon Rd. in the Brannon Crossing shopping center between Lexington and Nicholasville is expected to open June 26. A grand opening should be coming a few weeks later so stay tuned for how to get your shot at a Golden Ticket for a year’s worth of Potato Oles.
Fans of the popular Tex-Mex fast-food chain have been eager for a chance to snap up Oles, which are a sort of bite-sized spicy hash brown, and other specialties.
This is expected to be the first of five locations in the Lexington area that will be built over the next few years. The chain is still scouting spots in and around town. All will have a new modern Taco John’s look.
Taco John’s, a national chain with more than 400 locations, is known for serving traditional Mexican food with a twist.
Menu items include street tacos, sirloin steak nachos, meat and potato burritos, breakfast burritos and desserts, including churros and Mexican Donut Bites.
