Pack away the pumpkin pie hummus, because there’s a more holiday-ready flavor that needs to be bought, eaten, and loved immediately. Aldi’s new Park Street Deli Sugar Cookie Dessert Hummus puts a sweet twist on your favorite dip.
Dessert hummus might sound a little strange to those who haven’t had it — after all, with chickpea as a primary ingredient, how does that combine well with sweet flavors? However, I can confirm that flavors, like Tribe’s Dark Chocolate Hummus, are beyond delicious, so I’m excited to see what this sugar cookie one is all about.
In addition to the sugar cookie flavor, Aldi is releasing a Chocolate Mint Dessert Hummus, which is turning out to be the Christmas flavor combination this season (Mint Chocolate Twinkies, anyone?).
Although both new dessert hummus flavors are listed as Aldi Finds for Dec. 18 to 24, people have already spotted the sugar cookie one in stores, so fingers crossed more shoppers can find them ahead of time.
Both flavors come in 8-ounce containers for $3.49 each. The packaging suggests enjoying the sugar cookie hummus with vanilla wafers, pretzels, graham crackers, or by the spoonful, and the same with the chocolate mint, minus the vanilla wafers. On your mark, get set, eat an entire container!
