The start/sit decisions could be quite difficult for some fantasy football managers in Week 9. Some key playmakers will be out of action because of injuries. Six NFL teams have byes. And that means some players who might not normally be in fantasy lineups will make the cut.

The Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos, New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers and San Francisco 49ers are all off, so that takes some top fantasy stars out of the mix.

Fantasy managers need to have contingency plans, and they should have some idea of who they'll turn to in order to give their team a chance to win.

Here's some lineup advice heading into Sunday's Week 9 action, along with analysis from several top fantasy experts.

It's possible that Jeff Wilson Jr. will factor into the Dolphins' running game in the second half of the season. He was dealt from San Francisco to Miami ahead of the trade deadline, and he's now reunited with Mike McDaniel, the former 49ers offensive coordinator serving as Dolphins head coach.

But Wilson isn't going to immediately become Miami's No. 1 RB. Especially not with the way Raheem Mostert has been running the ball of late. And that's why Mostert is a must-start fantasy running back again in Week 9 when the Dolphins will go on the road to face the Chicago Bears.

As Jamey Eisenberg of CBS Sports pointed out that's a great matchup for Mostert, who has also had a hot hand of late.

"The Bears have allowed a running back to score or gain at least 100 total yards in seven games in a row, and Mostert has scored at least 18 PPR points in two of his past four games," Eisenberg wrote.

Could Wilson lower Mostert's fantasy value in the future? Certainly. For now, though, Mostert is a trustworthy fantasy running back, and he should have another big performance in Sunday's contest in Chicago.

Since Zach Wilson returned from injury to take back his role as the Jets' starting quarterback in Week 4, Garrett Wilson's fantasy stock has taken a hit. The rookie wide receiver hadn't developed a connection with the second-year QB, and it didn't help that New York's passing attack was mostly struggling to move the ball.

However, things went much better in Week 8. The former Ohio State WR had six catches for 115 yards in a loss to the New England Patriots, notching the second 100-yard game of his debut NFL campaign and his first since Week 2, which is also when he scored his only two touchdowns thus far.

The Wilson-to-Wilson connection may not be as effective in Week 9, when the Jets are hosting the AFC East-leading Buffalo Bills, as noted by NFL.com's Michael Florio.

"The Bills have allowed just 31.1 fantasy PPG to receivers, which is just outside the top 10. They are also in the bottom five in fantasy points allowed to QBs," Florio wrote. "There is so much that could go wrong for Zach Wilson, meaning by default a lot could go wrong for Garrett Wilson."

It's not a great matchup for New York's offense, with Buffalo's defense likely to make things quite difficult for the unit. So leave the rookie Wilson on the bench this week.

There are quite a few top fantasy tight ends who fall in the touchdown-or-bust category. Gerald Everett has been in that mix, especially with some of the challenging matchups the Chargers' offense has had in recent weeks.

But Everett should be a bigger factor for Los Angeles in Week 9, and he's likely to get enough targets to have a solid fantasy performance even if he doesn't get into the end zone. The Chargers are going to be without their top two wide receivers, as Keenan Allen (hamstring) and Mike Williams (ankle) will both miss Sunday's game vs. the Atlanta Falcons.

Los Angeles' shorthanded receiving corps isn't the only reason to trust Everett this week, according to Michael Fabiano of Sports Illustrated.

"The Falcons have also allowed seven tight ends to score 9.7 fantasy points [per game], so the matchup is favorable," Fabiano wrote.

Everett hasn't gotten into the end zone since Week 4. But don't be surprised if that touchdown drought ends this week.
