SouthCoast restaurants serving up tacos for you to try on National Fish Taco Day
Did you know that January 25 is National Fish Taco Day? Well, according to National Day Archives, it is. Not that you need a day to enjoy those decadent tacos, often fried to perfection and topped with a spicy creamy sauce.
Beef and chicken are often hailed as the highlight of the taco world, but here on the SouthCoast fish tacos are prominently on many menus and gaining more and more popularity. National Fish Taco Day is the perfect time to try them all out and see which ones are worth the hype.
Whether you like grilled or beer-battered fish; spicy Creole or cilantro lime-topped tacos, there is something for everyone at these local spots serving up fish tacos.
Roger's Family Restaurant, Somerset
Head to Roger's, 1229 Wilbur Ave., for your taco fix. They offer Fish Tacos, three tacos with fried fish, lettuce, tomato, coleslaw, and fresh pico de gallo, served with jerk spiced fries for $15.

Max's, Dartmouth
Max's at 405 State Rd., has Taco Tuesdays for $3.50 tacos including fish tacos. Any other day you can get the Fish Taco meal which is 3 fried fish tacos with fries for $15.
Faneek's Coney Island, Fall River
A must-try fish taco is available at Faneek's, 269 Rhode Island Ave. With the Fish Tacos, you get crispy shells, fried Haddock, homemade slaw, and boom boom sauce for $4.99 a taco.
BrewFish Bar and Eatery, Marion
You don't need a special day to order the Fish Tacos at BrewFish, 210 Spring St. The Crispy Haddock Tacos include 3 soft flour tortillas filled with lettuce, ginger spiced coleslaw, and crispy haddock topped with Creole tartar sauce, and served with seasoned fries and a house-made pickle for $17.

Tequila Lime Cantina, Fall River
Get Fish-Fresh Catch of the Day Tacos at Tequila Lime Cantina, 197 Bank St. Two grilled Corn tortillas with the catch of the day fish spicy or beer battered topped with mixed greens, fresh salsa, shredded red cabbage, and chipotle lime aioli for $17.95.
Fireside Classic American Grille, Middleboro
Fireside has a classic fish taco made to order at 30 Bedford St. Get the 3 grilled flour tortillas filled with fresh beer-battered haddock, black bean and corn pico, arugula, cotija cheese, chipotle crema, and chopped cilantro for $15.95.

When it's taco time head over to Barrett's at 4171 N Main St., Ste 13. For $18 you can try the fish tacos, three flour tortillas filled with fried haddock, cabbage, pico de gallo, and cilantro-lime aioli.
Lexi- Lu's Place, Westport
Lexi- Lu's at 1133 American Legion Highway has you covered when it comes to tacos. Order the Fish Tacos, fresh cod lightly fried until golden topped with homemade coleslaw, lettuce, onion, cheese, and tomatoes drizzled with signature aioli and served with French fries for $11.99.
