Regional championships are on the line Friday night in Indiana and Michigan, respectively, as most local teams hit the road.

Games we're tracking tonight: 6A Penn at Merrillville, 4A New Prairie at Lowell, 4A Mississinewa at Northridge, 3A Marian at Hanover Central, 2A LaVille at Andrean and D4 Michigan Grand Rapids South Christian at Edwardsburg.

FINAL: Marian 33, Hanover Central 6

Class 3A-Region 13 Championship

Series: Marian won only previous meeting when then coach Reggie Glon’s Knights won 43-6 over visiting Wildcats in sectional semifinal game on Oct. 28, 2016 on way to 11-2 finish.

Class 4A-Regional 9 Championship

►New Prairie will host Northridge next Friday with a trip to the state championship on the line.

► Marshall Kmiecik goes 68 yards for New Prairie TD. Cougars 28, Lowell 14, with 5:47 to play.

► Ben Fronk 52 pass from Marshall Kmieciek. New Prairie 21, Lowell 14, with 8:40 to play. 9 plays, 78 yards.

► New Prairie starts second half with six-play, 80-yard drive. Final 10 yards by sophomore Brock Sinka. New Prairie 14, Lowell 14. Star running back Noah Mungia was not in for any of the drive.

► Lowell goes 5 plays, 81 yards in 1:06, Joey Heuer punches it in with 0:00 on the clock. Lowell 14, New Prairie 7 at halftime.

► After both teams go 3 and out, Lowell puts together 11-play, 60 yard drive. Joey Heuer goes final six yards. New Prairie 7, Lowell 7 with 4:20 to play in half.

► On first possession, and after converting on fourth and 3, sophomore QB Marshall Kmieciek goes for final 16 yards. Kmieciek ran six times in the drive. New Prairie 7, Lowell 0.

Series: Cougars lead series 2-1 after 24-14 victory Sept. 3 in New Carlisle. … Other New Prairie victory was 28-27 regional championship victory during 13-2 run to 2014 Class 4A state championship game against New Palestine. … Lowell’s victory, 25-20, came during 14-1 season which ended with loss to East Central in Class 4A state championship.

Class 4A-Regional 10 Championship

► After Mississinewa gets on the board on a 54-yard touchdown catch, the Raiders answer with a 2-yard TD run by Tagg Gott.

► Northridge takes 12-0 lead 34 seconds before halftime on 22-yards touchdown pass to Kade Sainz from QB Tagg Gott

► Ridge Howard punches it in from 5 yards out to give the Raiders the lead.

Series: Penn on seven-game winning streak and leads series 8-2, winning 28-15 at Merrillville in last meeting on Aug. 24, 2018.

Michigan Division 4-Regional 2 Championship

Series: This is the third meeting with each team winning once. … Eddies prevailed 47-7 in last season’s regional championship. … Sailors won 50-48 in 2014 semifinals on way to Division 4 state championship.
