Sinton's James voted Sames Caller-Times High School Athlete of the Week

Sinton sophomore Jacoby James posted a big game in a marquee non-district showdown with London on his way to earning Sames Caller-Times High School Athlete of the Week honors.

James had a stat line of 26 points, 11 rebounds, four steals and two blocks against the state-ranked Pirates.

James received 15,457 of the 33,048 votes cast, which was 46.8% of all votes.

Ingleside boys soccer player Brandon Hernandez was second with 9,754 votes.

Students can only be named Athlete of the Week one time per season, per sport.

Nominations are due each Monday by 5 p.m. and can be submitted through email at ctsports@caller.com, by messaging the Caller-Times through its Facebook page, or on Twitter @CallerSports.
