See Inside Bon Jovi’s $20 Million New Jersey Estate
Rock legend Bon Jovi is selling his New Jersey mansion for a cool $20 million. Named for its location, which affords a clear vantage of New Jersey's Navesink river, the High Point Estate is just one hour outside of New York City.
Designed by renowned architect Robert A.M. Stern, the 18,000-square-foot French-inspired mansion features a wide entrance driveway, brick courtyards, and French balconies. Through the wide mullioned and arched alcove windows are incredible views of the waterfront. Inside, the home is detailed with limestone flooring and an open two story foyer. It has six bedrooms and seven-and-a-half bathrooms.
The interior was painted by Pierre Finkelstein, who created realistic wood graining, intricate glazing, and custom-cut stenciling. The spacious 50-foot living room features a grand fireplace, bookshelves, and parquet flooring. It also has a custom designed movie theater. Next to the living room, the bar has a large French mirror that reflects the river. Seating up to 18 people, the round dining table inside the dining room is the perfect place to entertain. The state-of-the art kitchen features a large island and a breakfast room. And if you don’t want to climb the stairs to the second floor, there’s an elevator that services all the floors.
The fireplace in the family room doubles as an outdoor fireplace. With a pergola and a seating area, the patio on the other side is the perfect place to view the 700 feet of riverfront. On the 15-acre property, long stretches of grass lawns lead to an in-ground pool with two cabanas, a kitchen, and a laundry room. There are four other outbuildings, which include a carriage house built in 1910, a “Shoe Inn” pub with a pool table and garage, a recording studio, and a stable building.
