Rescuers Airlift Injured Hunter From Remote Wilderness in Maryland

Officials airlifted an injured hunter from a remote area of the Cascade Falls Trail in Ellicott City, Maryland, on Friday, October 7, according to the Maryland State Police.

The police said that the hunter fell 20 to 30 feet (six to nine meters) from a tree stand causing “severe pain with several rib fractures and a possible pelvic fracture.”
