Reba Looks Completely Unrecognizable in Throwback Photo From Early in Her Career
Even then, the star had her signature red hair.
Country icon Reba McEntire has been professionally singing since she was 20 years old, releasing many hit songs and best-selling albums over the years.
The star honored her humble beginnings in a throwback photo shared on Instagram, in which, aside from her signature red hair, she's pretty much unrecognizable.
Reba shared the photo in a joint post with the Country Music Association (CMA) and wrote, "A throwback to my first Fan Fair!💃🏼 @cma Fan Fair has always been a special event for me and I'm thrilled to share that I will be the Artist of the Day on Friday, June 9 at CMA Close Up Stage inside Fan Fair X!"
In the picture, Reba, who is likely in her 20s, looks bright-eyed and youthful, smiling at the camera as she holds a marker in her hand, gearing up to sign autographs.
Though her hair seems to be a bit more voluminous now than it was back then, she still rocked her signature bright red color with plenty of volume. Reba didn't share what year the photo was taken, but she first signed a recording contract in 1975.
Reba's photo had many people reminiscing about old fan fairs, with one comment on the post reading, "I miss those 90’s fan fair days. ❤️."
"Don’t want to tell my age but I was at the first fan fare," said another fan.
One person was amazed at how far the singer has come, writing, "The idea of a time when Reba needed a nametag is so hard to comprehend!!!!"
The CMA Fest this year will take place between June 8 and 11 at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Other country artists who will be in attendance at the festival include Carly Pearce, Luke Combs, Keith Urban, Little Big Town, Tim McGraw, and many more.
