Raccoon Mama Shows Off Her Very Rare Babies in Unbelievable Video
We will never get sick of watching animals coming to their humans to show off their newborns. Every time they’re so proud and excited for what they’ve created. As they should be! It’s the beautiful circle of life.
But, to us, this recent clip from TikTok user @defamy28 stands out from all the rest. A raccoon mama comes to this family's house every year to show off her babies, which is the sweetest thing. Then this year the TikToker was greeted with unbelievably rare and adorable babies. Take a look!

O.M.G. We’ve never even heard of albino raccoons before. So as shocked as this TikToker is, we are as well. According to an article from The Sacramento Bee, these babies only happen about 1 out of 10,000 to 20,000 times. Wow! We hope this family plays the lottery after seeing these rare beauties. LOL!
"She’s like, 'Is my vision getting worse again or are they weird looking?'" commented @emmaxlxwilliams. HA! She was just as confused as we. But don't worry mama, you've got beautiful babies that nearly 7 million TikTokers are obsessing over, and yes, that includes us! This TikToker did update everyone in a separate video saying several wildlife sanctuaries were called, but those places said while this is very rare, they only take animals that are injured or orphaned.
We don't know how this family doesn't just bring all these babies and mama home. If we were them, we'd keep these raccoons as our pets. But then again, that's not actually legal everywhere. Only in a few states is it legal to own a pet raccoon - Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, West Virgina, Wisconsin, and Wyomin. Other states might require a special permit to own raccons, but that is something one would have to check with their local Fish and Wildlife Service.
