Purdue football brings back uniforms from the Drew Brees era. 'These are perfection.'

The Purdue football team is going back to the vintage jerseys of the Drew Brees era.

On Friday, the team unveiled the new "old" home uniforms. "Vintage is in," the football account tweeted.

The uniforms are a throwback to the late 1990s and early 2000s when Brees led the Boilermakers to a Rose Bowl appearance after a victory over Indiana in November 2000.

Quarterback Drew Brees had just two football scholarship offers coming out of high school: Kentucky and Purdue. He
clenched a rose in his teeth as he celebrated Purdue's 43-14 win over Indiana on Nov. 18, 2000. The victory earned Purdue an invitation to the Rose Bowl.
