Pro football for $10: USFL tickets for Canton games go on sale Wednesday, March 8
CANTON − Ten bucks will get you a seat at a USFL game in Canton starting at 9 a.m., Wednesday, March 8.
That's when tickets go on sale for the spring pro football league's two teams playing their regular-season games in Canton. Both the New Jersey Generals and Pittsburgh Maulers will play their home games starting in April at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.
Tickets start at $10 per game for end zone seats. Season ticket packages are as low as $30.
The Generals will play the Maulers at noon April 23 at Hall of Fame Stadium. A rematch is scheduled for 1 p.m. June 17 at the Canton site. Each team plays a total of six games in Canton.
Canton is among four host stadiums for USFL games this year. The league is the follow-up to the original spring football startup of the 1980s.
Last season, all USFL games were played at a single stadium in Birmingham, Alabama. Along with a return to Birmingham, the other two game sites this year are in Detroit and Memphis, Tennessee.
