'The Price is Right' says goodbye to Studio 33 after 50 years, moves to new home next season
Monday brought the end of an era to legendary game show "The Price is Right."
After 51 years, the show is saying goodbye to Bob Barker Studio 33 at Television City in California. The June 26 season finale was the show's final episode in the studio.
"I used to tell people there was magic in the wood here because of all the good vibes that have been in this studio," said host Drew Carey in a video posted to the show's Instagram account last week.
"Now we gotta go and start a new place and put our own good vibes into that new place," he said.
Season 52 of the show will be produced in a new studio in Glendale, a neighborhood in northeast Los Angeles.
Here's everything we know about the move and the new season.
Why 'Price is Right' is moving studios
The show is moving because Television City, the Los Angeles studio complex where it has taped since 1972, is getting a $1.25 billion renovation, Deadline reported in March.
The studio has also been home to "Dancing with the Stars", "American Idol" and "The Late Late Show with James Corden."
Hackman Capital Partners bought Television City from CBS Corp. in 2019 for $750 million.
Their plan for Television City would raise the number of stages to at least 15, from eight, along with production support facilities and offices for rent.
When does 'Price is Right' Season 52 begin?
The 52nd season of the show will begin in September.

How the show said goodbye to the Bob Barker studio
The original "Price is Right" studio is named after Barker, now 99, who hosted the show from 1972 until 2007. Carey replaced Barker as host in 2007 and has been a part of the show since.
The cast of the show celebrated the final episode at Bob Barker Studio with an Instagram post.
"Today we say farewell to the legendary Bob Barker Studio. Thank you for all the memories. We'll see everybody in Glendale next season!" reads the caption.
“I am blessed by being able to walk the same stage that people like Bob Barker (and) Carol Burnett used to walk on,” Carey said.
“Honestly, it’s a real blessing in my life. I always am grateful and thankful that I have this opportunity to have a job like this.”
