Precious Video of Bear Cubs Climbing Up a Tree Is Both Adorable and Impressive

Most of the time, the thought of a bear sighting sounds more scary than cute. When you're watching from the safety of your home, though, it's an entirely different story.

Luckily, Fox Nashville viewer Jill Richards was at a safe distance when she noticed a mama bear and four cubs passing by. The black bear cubs even made a detour to climb a tall tree, which is just as impressive as it is adorable. They're so speedy!

OMG! Those little bears scaled the tree trunk like nobody's business, and I'm thoroughly impressed. I could barely climb the hanging rope in gym class! Then again, black bears like this family are well-equipped for climbing. When it comes to people, climbing is a skill that takes some practice!

As Tennesee's WZTV reported, no specific location was tagged when the viewer sent in this adorable video. A commenter hypothesized that the bears were likely 'in the Smokies,' but the Tennesee Wildlife Resources Agency can narrow down bear populations to one of two in the state.

"Tennessee has two main black bear populations: the Appalachian Population along the Tennessee-North Carolina border and the Cumberland Population in the northern part of the Cumberland Plateau along the Tennessee-Kentucky border," the website explains.

Since bear encounters aren't unheard of in "The Volunteer State," there are several safety considerations to remember when living in the area. Ensuring that the bears "remain wild" is of utmost importance, so residents need to limit animals' access to human food and garbage. With some thoughtfulness, humans and bears can coexist peacefully, and the reward will be more adorable videos like this one.
